BORISPJANIC (German, 1968-  )

Born in Cologne, the art capital of Germany, Boris Pjanic, has fused with his native city as artist, photographer, pianist and collector.  WIth more than 30 museums and hundreds of galleries, from local ancient Roman archeological sites to contemporary graphics and sculpture, the influence had lefts its mark on his brilliantly textured canvasses.

The MBA and long time international consultant for the big five consulting firms in the United States, Boris has taken his artistic inclinations and focused on them after leaving the U.S. to return to his native city.

From music to the visual arts, (playing  piano -classical and modern, jazz and rags), to photography of nature, flowers and timepieces, which are difficult to capture, due to their small size,  Boris paints with pastels and acrylics. He mainly uses a primary color palette of bright reds and blues and yellows to create a wholly sensual, textural and rhythmic composition that professes his passion for color. Certain topics arise repeatedly in his paintings, among them the heart theme, still life, and at times people in motion, who are, for example, dancing.

In addition to art, Boris is a collector and expert on vintage timepieces, which he buys and sells internationally.

His modern, spontaneous and child-like style of painting has earned him accolades by collectors and gallerists alike.
